I have waited for long, hoping that someone in his right senses at the National Assembly, the pseudo-opposition will ask the Nigerian President, why he flew his wife abroad for treatment. I thought someone would raise the question on what happen to numerous teaching hospitals and National hospital in Abuja, that the wife of Nigerian President would have to be flown abroad to receive medical treat

ment. No one said anything. Why am I not surprised? Where is the “opposition” Party ACN? What are the so-called “Progressive” members of the senate saying? They all keep quiet because they have failed or better said never carried out any oversight functions. I know it is difficult subject for the leader of the opposition in Nigeria since he sent one of his mistresses to go have his baby in the United States when he was a State Governor.
No one has asked the Nigerian President
who pays the bill of his sick wife? There are thousands of Nigerians, sick, needing serious and immediate medical attention. Many have died because they cannot afford the cost of healthcare. I have lost 3 friends in the last one year- Abayomi Gbaye died of Diabetes and Hypertension; Bamidele Adebayo died too, Kayode Ogbetah died this year all in their 40s. I heard this evening that Seriki, a graduate of Ogun State University, very hard working family man is at the mercy of dialysis now. These are young men, trained but died before they started to give back to their country. How about people I don’t know? People who we think don’t matter? How about people who live in villages and cannot afford to wear shoes? How about families who live in 0-0-1 formula? Upon all the money stolen by Mr. Goodluck Jonathan and his wife. Upon all the 5% she gets from every plot of land purchased in Abuja. They still have to take from the government money to fly her abroad for treatment? They are afraid of dying yet they don’t care about poor people who die in those slaughter rooms they call hospitals? They value their own lives more than lives of the people they govern.
Why do we have people so, grossly irresponsible, rash, and reckless in government? How do these people enjoy the money they make from poor people’s sweat?
Why do I think the Senators will ask questions? They cannot, because they also do same thing, they come to US, UK, Germany for treatment and checkups. These guys are shameless, so brash that as top government officials, they leave their country to enjoy services that governments like them provided for their own citizens. It looks like these people are not just irresponsible; they are also stupid and foolish. They brag about going abroad for treatment as if it is normal. They go abroad to celebrate birthday parties. Makes me feel like GRRRRRRRR!
