My interest in this website started after I read an article published on how Tinubu took bribe concerning the appointment of Mr. Sanusi Lamido’s replacement.

I read the article and there was nowhere the ghost writer attempted to interview Tinubu for his own side of the story. The article was written and posted without a byline. No author. This made me to check previous articles on this website and to my surprise none has authors. All were posted and written by “ADMIN.”

Not only is everything about this website anonymous, “About Us” has no information, to contact, you will fill a form.

No information on the editorial board, nothing on the location, absolutely no information about a website that is providing information.-…..so absurd.

You are in the news business, committed to informing the public, educating and exposing bad deeds yet you operate in secrecy?

I ignored the article and the website until now.

The people or person behind this mysterious online news came up with the conspiracy theory of how APC bought the throne for Sanusi.

This writer wrote the story not as an outsider, not as a reporter, which he or she is not but as an insider. While I read the story, I begin to ask myself the question that how can the late Emir instruct king makers what to do? Is that the tradition in Kano? How many ruling families are in Kano? Is it possible for one ruling family to produce Emir twice in succession? Is it the rule that exiting Emir on sick bed will instruct the king makers what to do and who to pick?

I thought a seasoned, intelligent reporter; writing with a good sense of professional responsibility would ask and find answers to some of these questions before running t post articles that is so one-sided and poisoned with not only biased reporting but unintelligible skills.

I am confused as to the category of the story. I wasn’t sure if this was a feature article, investigative reporting or opinion. From the little I know as a reporter, as I was tutored by Gbenga Alaketu and Osita Nwajah, that your job as a reporter is to report not to judge?

“As soon as Ado Bayero died, the four kingmakers honored his wish. They shortlisted his sons and one other. The list excluded Lamido Sanusi of CBN history. The entire city of Kano knew that the Lamido noise had rested.”  How did he know what the late Emir told the kingmakers? He did not acknowledge any source here.

“Sanusi was already going to prepare for turbanning, because there was no contest in the shortlist. A distress call went to the APC head-cutters. The deep pockets took off from their sinecures. Rotimi Amaechi from Rivers, Ahmed Tinubu from Lagos. The not-so-deep pockets too were in tow, because they were the ‘sons’ of the soil. Things would truly get soiled in a moment. Danjuma Goje, Abubakar Baraje and Shaaba Lafiagi.”  Who sent the distress call?

The four traditional kingmakers collected twenty million Naira each from the southern dispensers and represented a new list which now included Lamido Sanusi’s name. While the issue went on, General Muhammadu Buhari also waded in on phone. What he told Kwankwaso was not clear to NP, but it did not appear to be in deviation from the general APC resolve.”     Seriously!? This is ludicrous. This not just irresponsible it is discourteous to the kingmakers. Under the law, this writer has alleged that these men took bribe and it is punishable. So also is libel. When you make allegation you should back it up with evidence. But when you allege without any evidence, it appears stupid.

“When the second announcement came towards the evening and protest broke out, the Southern spenders were a little jittery over their safety and wanted badly to be out of Kano. They knew what they had sown so brazenly. They also knew what they could reap if they were caught fiddling with the system from such a distance. When the Airport Authorities banned flights apparently for security reasons, their trepidation escalated.”   When was the first announcement made? Who made it? And how is the writer sure that the no-flight announcement was made it was for the security reasons?

The most shocking revelation is the allegation that the present Oba of Lagos is not omo Eko! Looto!??? Where the Oba of Lagos from? Is it possible for a non-lagosian to be ordained Oba of Lagos?

Make no mistake, I am not a fan of Tinubu and his company of yeyenatus, but I think we should responsibly write and write with common sense. As far as I am concerned, and I have said it that APC and PDP are two sides of the same coin. They are in fact troubled kids of same confused mother so I careless about them all. But what makes me sick to my stomach is when I see some “roadside journalists,”  “perppersoup and beer palor reporters,” “ Agbero journalists” destroying a profession I love and I’m a part of Ikoko ko ni gbeyin ko gba omi inu e.

Since there is no governing body or regulatory authority for journalism in Nigeria, everybody is now a journalist and you can write and publish whatever you like without consequences.

The website’s motto is: Courage, Truth and Freedom which I found laughable-

If you’re courageous, reveal the names of your editorial board members. Back up your “truth” with concrete evidence and not hearsay-like facts. This is the only way you can be Free.
